EN Sex Offender Registration
The Stokes County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for maintaining local records on all sex offenders living in Stokes County. There status is constantly verified by officers assigned to monitor sex offenders through address checks. If a sex offender moves from their registered location without notifying the Sheriff’s Office they are subject to criminal charges. If you have information about a sex offender that you would like to pass on to us, you may contact Det. Sgt. D. Brown at (336) 593-2486 or email him at dbrown@co.stokes.nc.us
REGISTRATION
If you are a sex offender needing to register for the 1st time with Stokes County Sheriff’s Office, you will need to contact our office and schedule a time to come in. The process can take as long as two hours. Bring your government issued ID with you.
If you receive your letter, you may bring that to the office anytime Monday through Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm.
