Rabies Vaccinations

North Carolina Law requires that all dogs and cats over (4) four months of age be vaccinated against rabies. The first vaccine is good for (1) one year.  Proof of the previous vaccine must be presented for a vaccination that is good for (3) three years.  Help stop this deadly disease, have your pet vaccinated against rabies.  For information contact the Stokes County Animal Shelter (336) 994-2788 or Spay Stokes 336-971-2963.

Please DO NOT arrive early as we will not be accepting registrations until 1:30pm. $10 PER VACCINE, CASH ONLY, Limit 3 pets per person/vehicle, These are ONE year vaccines. Dogs MUST BE LEASHED – NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES!, Cats/Ferrets must be in a carrier. Open to Dogs, Cats and Ferrets Only! UPDATE:

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the weekly Rabies clinic is canceled until further notice. The animal shelter was previously offering weekly, low-cost Rabies clinics as an additional service to the community. We are hoping to continue to offer that community service in the near future.  If your pet is due for a Rabies vaccine, you must seek an outside veterinarian for that service. Residents of Stokes County are responsible for keeping their pets up to date on Rabies vaccines per North Carolina General Statute 130A-185.  Thank you for your continued support!
