Owner Surrender Fees are $40 PER ANIMAL!

The Stokes County Animal Control Department provides services to citizens of Stokes County in reference to responsible pet ownership. The Animal Service Officers enforce NC State law and Stokes County Ordinances related to animal welfare, cruelty, neglect, and rabies enforcement. We also partner with multiple animal welfare groups to make sure our furry friends are happy and safe.
We are located at 1999 Sizemore Road, Germanton, NC 27019 in the Quaker Gap Community of Stokes County. We are open to the Public Monday through Friday from 9 am until 4 pm; closed for lunch from 12 to 1 pm, Saturday from 9 am to 12 noon.

Complaints/Concerns need to be called in during our business hours. Citation payments are to be made during business hours. In cases of EMERGENCIES ONLY such as a sick/injured animal, a rabid animal or an animal to human attack, call 911 Communications. Strays are not picked up outside of business hours.
OWNER SURRENDERS are by appointment only on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 10am-3pm as space allows. Please bring any and all Vetting records, tags with you to your appointment.
