The Stokes Family Health Center receives guidance from the Board of Health, which is a policy-making board appointed by the Stokes County Commissioners.  

 

The Board of Health is comprised of 11 members of the community including a dentist, engineer, optometrist, pharmacist, registered nurse, veterinarian, physician, a member of the Stokes County Board of Commissioners and three members of the general public.

The Board of Health has authority over all the public health issues in Stokes County.
