In the event of a disaster, local emergency
responders may be overwhelmed and response for your call for assistance could
be delayed. To be prepared for a disaster, you should prepare or buy a First
Aid Kit. There are many vendors that you can purchase a fully stocked First Aid Kit or you can
prepare one of your own. The supplies needed are available at most drug and
discount stores. Prepare Your
Kit Review the checklist below, this should be a
minimum for your First Aid Kit. · (20)
adhesive bandages, various sizes · (1)
5” x 9” sterile dressing · (1)
conforming roller gauze bandage · (2)
triangular bandages · (2)
4 x 4 sterile gauze pads · (2)
2 x 2 sterile gauze pads · (2)
germicidal hand wipes or waterless alcohol-based hand sanitizer · (6)
antiseptic wipes · (2) pair large medical grade
non-latex gloves · (2)
Adhesive tape, 2” width · (2) Adhesive tape, 4” width · Small Scissors · Anti-bacterial
ointment · Tweezers · (2) Cold Packs · (2) Hot Packs · CPR Breathing Barrier Another
action of preparedness is to take a CPR Course and/or First Aid Course. |
