MISSION

The Stokes County Emergency Communications Center exists to assist the operating units of Stokes County.

This includes, but not limited to, the Stokes County Sheriff’s Department, Emergency Medical Services, Fire Marshal’s Office, King Police Department, Walnut Cove Police Department, and all fire departments/rescue squads that serve Stokes County.

 The department will operate around the clock for the protection of persons and property by providing the necessary technical, material, and communications support.

The Communications Center receives, interprets, classifies and appropriately responds to all emergency and non-emergency requests for service from all callers and public safety personnel.
