Program Integrity (Fraud)

Preventing Fraud

Program Integrity staff ensures the integrity and accountability of public funds.  Sometimes customers can receive too much assistance as a result of an intentional or unintentional act when giving information to their caseworker.

If it is determined that a customer receives more benefits than he or she was eligible to receive action is taken to collect the overpayment.

Our department takes serious the prevention and investigation of suspected fraud so that benefits are available to individuals that are eligible.

To report fraud call 336-593-2861 during regular business hours.
