The mission of the Stokes County Citizens Corp Council is to make our communities and county stronger, safer, and well prepared to respond to disasters, terrorism threats, public health crises and crime. In order to achieve our goal of making Stokes County a safer and better place to live, we need YOUR help.
Personal Responsibility--
Develop a preparedness plan for your home, (including but not limited to: What to do in a disaster, Emergency Contact list, Fire Evacuation Plan).
Develop a disaster survival kit.
Participate in Crime Prevention and Reporting.
2. Training--
Take classes in first aid, fire suppression, search and rescue, and emergency response.
3. Volunteer Service -
Volunteer at your local community safety organization such as a fire department or rescue squad.
Support local law enforcement, fire department, and emergency medical services.
