The Board of
Commissioners of the County of Stokes, State of North Carolina, met for
continuation of the Board Retreat in the Council Chambers of the Ronald Wilson
Reagan Memorial Building (Administrative Building), located in Danbury, North
Carolina, on Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at 6:00 pm with the following members present:

Walker delivered the invocation.

Turpin opened the meeting by inviting the citizens in attendance to join the
Board with the Pledge of Allegiance.

TOP FIVE PRIORITY GOALS
The Board continued discussion concerning the top priority goals for
Stokes County.
The Board
prioritized their top five goals for the County as follows:
Schools
No new taxes
Economic
Development/tourism
County wide
health care issues
Improve
Infrastructure – connectivity-water, sewer, gas, high speed internet, etc.
There being no
further business to come before the Board, Chairman John Turpin entertained a
motion to adjourn the meeting.
Commissioner
McHugh moved to adjourn the meeting.

Joe Turpin seconded and the motion
carried unanimously.
