The Board of Commissioners of the County of Stokes, State of North Carolina, met in scheduled session in the Council Chambers of the Ronald Wilson Reagan Memorial Building (Administrative Building), located in Danbury, North Carolina, on Monday, November 29, 2004, at 7:00 pm with the following members present:
Chairman Sandy McHugh
Vice-Chairman John Turpin
Commissioner Howard Mabe
Commissioner Leon Inman
Commissioner Joe Turpin
County Manager Richard Morris
County Attorney Jonathan Jordan
Clerk to the Board Darlene Bullins
Chairman McHugh called the meeting to order.
Commissioner Mabe delivered the invocation.
Chairman McHugh opened the meeting by inviting the citizens in attendance to join the Board with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Chairman McHugh entertained a motion to approve or amend the minutes of the November 22nd meeting.
Commissioner Inman moved to approve the minutes of the November 22, 2004 meeting.
Vice Chairman John Turpin seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
There were no public comments.
The following commended Commissioner Mabe for his dedication and service to the citizens of Stokes County, his friendship, his support, and expressed best wishes for the future.

Chairman McHugh, Vice Chairman John Turpin, Commissioner Joe Turpin, and Commissioner Inman thanked Commissioner Mabe for his dedication and commitment to serve the citizens of Stokes County.
County Manager Rick Morris and Clerk to the Board Darlene Bullins also commended Commissioner Mabe for his service to Stokes County.
Commissioner Mabe thanked the members of the Board, employees of Stokes County, County Manager Rick Morris, Clerk to the Board Darlene Bullins, and County Attorney Jonathan Jordan and those present at the meeting.
Chairman McHugh, on behalf of Stokes County Board of Commissioners, presented Commissioner Mabe a Stokes County print and plaque in recognition of his dedication and service to the citizens as a Stokes County Commissioner (2000-2004).
There being no further business to come before the Board, Commissioner Mabe moved to adjourn the meeting.
Commissioner Inman seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
